Fly Dubai to shift Riyadh flights to Terminal 5 from February 25
UAE carrier flydubai is changing where its Riyadh services operate at King Khalid International Airport (RUH). From February 25, 2026, flights to and from Riyadh will move to Terminal 5, instead of Terminal 3.
The update matters for one of the region’s busiest air links. The Dubai–Riyadh route was ranked among the world’s top 10 busiest routes in 2025, based on scheduled seat capacity.
What changes for passengers from February 25
From Wednesday, February 25, flydubai’s Riyadh flights will operate from Terminal 5 at King Khalid International Airport.
Terminal changes can affect where passengers check in, drop bags, and clear security. Travellers are advised to confirm their terminal before heading to the airport.
Last flights from Terminal 3, first flights from Terminal 5
flydubai said the final flights operating from Terminal 3 will be FZ 843 and FZ 844 on February 25, on the Riyadh–Dubai route.
The first flights operating from Terminal 5 will be FZ 849 and FZ 850 between Riyadh and Dubai on February 25.
Why the Dubai–Riyadh link draws attention
Dubai and Riyadh are connected by frequent flights, serving business travel, tourism, and visiting friends and relatives. That steady demand showed up in global rankings last year.
In 2025, Dubai–Riyadh placed seventh among the world’s busiest routes, with 4.465 million seats. Scheduled seat capacity refers to the number of airline seats planned for sale across the year.
For passengers, the terminal change is a practical detail on a high-traffic corridor. From February 25, flydubai customers flying via Riyadh should plan for Terminal 5 and allow extra time if they are unfamiliar with the new setup.
